PROJECT OVERVIEW
L’Atelier du Livre is an interactive publishing experience that allows children and families to create, personalise and print their own book through an intuitive in-store journey. The challenge was to transform a complex production process into a playful, accessible and reassuring experience for young users, while maintaining the clarity and reliability required for a physical retail environment.
The concept combines storytelling, personalisation and technology, guiding each child through the creation of a book that feels entirely their own. The visual and digital experience was designed to feel imaginative and engaging without becoming overly childish, creating a world that could appeal equally to children, parents and educational partners.

The project involved designing the complete product interface across 74 screens, as well as contributing to the physical experience surrounding the tablet and printing station. Every step of the journey was carefully structured, from selecting a story and customising its characters to reviewing the final result and launching the print process. Particular attention was given to navigation, accessibility, feedback states and the balance between autonomy and guidance for younger users. The final experience creates a seamless connection between digital interaction and a tangible printed object, turning book creation into a memorable, educational and emotionally engaging moment.
